eat an emo kid

My first official entry! I was reading A Food Year earlier today and learned that "emo" means "potato" in Japanese. That would mean if you ever wanted to eat an emo kid, you could just make a hearty potato and goat stew. As a recovering emo kid, I thought this was HI-larious, but I don’t think anyone else in my cubicle finds this as amusing as I do.
Now I’ve never personally prepared goat, although I was present at some Filipino ho-down where there was a big to do about making this stuff. Personally I found it a little too, uh, gamey. I have no intention of tracking down some goat meat, but If you, gentle reader, have the itch to do so, here’s a link to a goat stew recipe, Filipino style. I do intend to prepare some variation of the recipe, substituting beef brisket for the goat and probably excluding the ground liver, which I will post later. Also, I'm working on making this site a little less generic, so sit tight.
